Our Taival Germany team is growing, welcome Anne Lange on board! Anne has a Bachelors's degree in Innovation and Sustainability and brings in new and fresh perspectives gained from numerous projects at Aalto University and TU Berlin. Let's get to know Anne better:

What are you great at?

Anne: I am experienced in sustainability-related topics like footprint and lifecycle assessment, sustainable strategies, and now also exploring circular economy topics. Also in soft skills like empathy, working in a team, and making concepts easily understandable for all.

Although I've started my career in the media sector, I came back to sustainable development through my studies in Berlin at the Technical University and right now I am doing my Master's degree in Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability. I specialize in innovation of economic and ecological solutions.

Why Sustainable Development?

Anne: I have been excited about sustainable development ever since I was a child, starting with something as simple as putting the trash in the right bin. I am passionate about the idea of inter-generational fairness and equality between and within generations and I would like to support that fairness for both the human and the ecosystem with my work.

Why Taival?

Anne: I learned about Taival on a guest presentation by Michael and Tapani during my exchange in Finland. They mentioned that Taival is doing some interesting work in sustainable development and circular economy in Germany. I was interested to work in those areas so I reached out once I was back home and here I am.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Anne: I love biking, hiking, and recently started drawing. I love visiting music events, although now it has been a bit difficult because of the quarantine. And I also play drums and saxophone.

Recommended books/ideas?

Anne: I am passionate about the idea of "de-growth". It is about the world where we can run our economy and keep a good living standard, not at the expense of our environment. For those of you who know German, I would recommend "Befreiung vom Überfluss. Auf dem Weg in die Postwachstumsökonomie" by Niko Paech.
